Apparently 30,000 people attended on the Saturday, when I was there.

This RAAF Air Display was last held here in Adelaide, South Australia in 2007.

I happened to meet a very pleasant young gentleman there by the name of 'John' who is a software design engineer for the Australian Dept. of Defense.

F-35

The announcer was saying over the public address system that the US intend to have 4,200 F35's in service.
I hope I have my figures right. Australia is to have 78 by 2023.

The F35 was the highlight. Soon after ascending from the runway, the pilot pushed it into a near vertical climb, the roar of the engine reverberating throughout your body.
It was impressive and gave a feeling of pride in Man's strength and aircraft capability.
