Amateur Radio - Remote Operating
IC-7600 and FT-897
The Radio End Location - 150 klms from the Control End.
The 'Radio End' solar powered station prior to setting it up for remote operating.
NNow set up for Remote operating.
Each radio has it's own Remoterig blackbox. Using 2 profiles at the Control end, only one Control Remoterig
blackbox is needed, not two.
The Control Remoterig black box and SignaLink USB - at the home Qth.
12V / 30A Relays are used to turn the radios on and off.
The radios are powered by a large 12 volt deep cycle battery which is charged by a solar panel.

The IC-7600 is used on the digital modes, usually PSK31 running 30 watts.
The FT-897 is used on CW running 25 watts.
These 2 radios are connected to 3 antennas. The IC-7600 has 2 antennas connected which can be used on
different bands. The FT-897 is used with a 2 element HF, 5 band Cubex Quad antenna which is 10 mx high.
